【摘要】:Watertreatmentmembranedevicescanbeusedtoproducepotablewaterfrombrackishsuppliesandseawateraswellastoupgradethequalityofindustrialwater.Thisstandardpermitstheevaluationoftheintegrityandperformanceofmembraneelementsusingvisualobservationsandstandardsetsofconditionsandareforshort-termtesting(x003C;24h).Thisstandardcanbeusedtodeterminechangesthatmayhaveoccurredintheoperatingcharacteristicsofelementsbutarenotintendedtobeusedforplantdesign.1.1Thispracticecoverstheinspection,performancetesting,autopsyandanalyticalworkassociatedwithevaluatingpressuredrivenmembraneseparationelements(MF,UF,NFandRO).1.2Thispracticeisapplicableforelementswhennewlymanufacturedoratanytimeduringtheiroperationinawatertreatmentfacility.TheAnalyticalsectioncoversonlymembranesurfaceandfoulantanalyses.1.3Thedataderivedfromthesetestsshouldbeevaluatedversusnewlymanufacturedelements/bundlesoragainstoperatingsystemswhentheywereinitiallybroughton-stream,orboth.Industrynormscanalsobeusedforcomparativepurposes.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
