【摘要】:TheLDTsplayanimportantroleingeotechnicalapplicationstomeasurechangeindimensionsofspecimens.TheLDTsmustbecalibratedforuseinthelaboratorytoensurereliableconversionsofthesensorrsquo;electricaloutputtoengineeringunits.TheLDTsshouldbecalibratedbeforeinitialuse,atleastannuallythereafter,afteranychangeintheelectronicconfigurationthatemploysthesensor,afteranysignificantchangeintestconditionsusingthetransducerthatdifferfromconditionsduringthelastcalibration,andafteranyphysicalactiononthetransducerthatmightaffectitsresponse.LDTsgenerallyhaveaworkingrangewithinwhichvoltageoutputislinearlyproportionaltodisplacementofthetransducer.Thisprocedureisapplicabletothelinearrangeofthetransducer.RecommendedpracticeistousetheLDTonlywithinitslinearworkingrange.1.1Thistestmethodoutlinestheprocedureforcalibratinglineardisplacementtransducers(LDTs)andtheirreadoutsystemsforgeotechnicalpurposes.Itcoversanytransducerusedtomeasuredisplacementwhichgivesanelectricaloutputthatislinearlyproportionaltodisplacement.Thisincludeslinearvariabledisplacementtransducers(LVDT''s),lineardisplacementtransducers(LDTs)andlinearstraintransducers(LST''s).1.2Thiscalibrationprocedureisusedtodeterminetherelationshipbetweenoutputofthetransduceranditsreadoutsystemandchangeinlength.Thisrelationshipisusedtoconvertreadingsfromthetransducerreadoutsystemintoengineeringunits.1.3Thiscalibrationprocedurealsoisusedtodeterminetheaccuracyofthetransduceranditsreadoutsystemovertherangeofitsusetocomparewiththemanufacturer''sspecificationsfortheinstrumentandthesuitabilityoftheinstrumentforaspecificapplication.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
