【摘要】:Theboundstyrenetestisameasureoftheboundmonomericcompositionoftherubber.Itisusedasacheckontheaccuracyofmonomerchargingandalsoasaguidetotheuniformityoftheproduct,sincetheboundstyrenecontentaffectsthephysicalproperties.1.1Thistestmethodfordeterminationofstyrenecontentisintendedforgeneraluseonsoliduncompoundedstyrene-butadienecopolymers,commonlyreferredtoasSBR,preparedbytheemulsionprocess.SBRpolymerspreparedinsolutionwillrequiretheuseofdifferentrefractiveindextablesbecausethevinylcontentofthebutadienediffersfromthatintheemulsionpolymers.Itisapplicabletopolymershavinglessthan55%boundstyrene.Note1--ThenomenclatureusedinthistestmethodisinaccordancewithPracticeD1418.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
